Sooner than you think! Seniors usually start booking in March/April of their junior year because most yearbook deadlines in Oregon are towards the end of October and your photographer will need time to edit the photos by that date! The earlier you book, the better chance you'll have of getting the date you want for your session! Certain flowers only bloom for a few weeks of the year so if you really have your heart set on things like sunflowers, lavender, etc - that's even more of a reason to book early!
Q: When should I book my senior session?
A: There is a $300 retainer required at time of booking to hold your date (this fee is transferable but not refundable.) Your retainer is applied to the type of session you choose and the remainder is due 30 days before the date of your shoot! Individual sessions start at $950 and friends/group sessions start at $250/person.
Q: How does payment work?
A: You can wear your PJ's if that's what makes you happy but all my seniors receive my Senior Session Guide, a luxury magazine full of all the best tips + tricks for hair, skin, makeup, and pulling together all your outfits! Styling your session is literally my favorite part of the job so don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it! I'm here for you every step of the way!
Q: What should i wear for my photos?
A: Dogs? Heck yes! Always! PLEASE bring alllll the dogs! As for the humans, you can bring anyone you'd like to your session but I recommend only bringing those special people that will make you feel comfortable + confident in front of the camera!
I am always happy to a snap a handful of photos of you and anyone that attends your session at the end of your shoot for no additional charge! If you want to add an actual family shoot to your session, I offer a family mini session add-on for $200 that must take place the same day as your shoot! I do not do regular family shoots anymore so this is the only way to snag one :)
Q: Can I bring my dog/sibling/BFF/Parents?
A: I don't want to get my gear rained on anymore than I want you to have to do your session with wet hair and streaky makeup! I know you've waited a long time for these photos so I try to be SUPER flexible and we will always reschedule if there's rain in the forecast. Don't worry about that!
Q: What if there's bad weather on the day of my shoot?
A: I will always remove anything temporary such as blemishes or scars that are not a normal part of who you are and all senior sessions include high-end skin retouching so that you look polished but natural!
I will never do body morphing (making you look skinnier/warping your features, etc) and I feel really strongly about that! It's so important to me to capture the REAL you! 30 years from now when you look back on your photos, I want them to be an accurate representation of who you were in this moment in time. If you want photos that make you look artificial, I'm not your girl! (and that's ok! No hard feelings!)
Q: Can You Photoshop Me?
A: All of your full-resolution digital files will be available for download in your own personal online gallery! This is a link you can share with friends/family so that everyone special to you is able to easily view + access the files! You will receive a sneak peek of your images in the first 3-4 days after your session so that you have something to share right away (I know how excited you guys are to see your images!) and the full resolution files will be available anywhere from 6-12 weeks later, depending on my current editing workload!
Q: How do I receive the photos and how long does it take?
A: Nope! This is one of the things that really sets me aside from other photographers - I give you ALL the images from your shoot! You do not have to pay extra per image or for printing rights, etc. Please be sure to ask this of any photographer you are considering because some do require a minimum print purchase not included in their advertised price that can be upwards of $1,000 or they may charge you an additional amount per image after receiving a very small collection, etc. I really wanted to make this a seamless experience for you guys so you get your full gallery at no additional cost with me!
Q: are there any hidden costs?

Once your shoot is booked, I will send you my Senior Session Guide and you'll have unlimited access to me via text to help plan your session! We will also have a planning/styling zoom call so that you go into your session feeling super prepared! On the day of your shoot, I will show up ready to HYPE YOU UP and make you feel like the supermodel that you are! You'll receive a sneak peek gallery within 72 hours so that you can have photos to share right away!
